Making A Difference
This week starts my involvement in the City of Dallas Inclusive Housing Taskforce. This Lifestylist® is anxious to get started on affordable housing issues in Dallas and share my insight on manufactured housing and off-site construction.
A Love Of Fairs
People always wonder why this Lifestylist is so passionate about the State Fair of Texas. As Ashly McGee, a third-generation concessionaire shared, “It’s Not What We do, It’s Who We Are.” This is why fairs are such an important part of my life story.
Your Next Influencer Might Be A Sixth Grader
Your next influencer might be a middle school student, especially if you think like Smeg, and include your appliances in software that public school kids use in their classrooms. My Junior Lifestylist introduced me to floorplanner.com and what they are learning now in sixth grade.
Cheers to 2023!
Lifestylist Suzanne Felber welcomes in 2023! Happy New Year, everyone!
A Christmas Miracle
A man claiming to be a lawyer showed up at my disabled neighbor’s door. He said he had purchased the rights to the neighbor’s two homes and wanted to "know your intentions as to your occupancy.” He claimed to have allegedly purchased the neighbor’s brother's rights to the two homes for $8,000 and wanted my neighbor gone. When my neighbor couldn’t find any lawyers to help him protect his rights, this Lifestylist decided to share the story, and hope for a Christmas miracle.
Staying True To Your Brand
Staying true to my Lifestylist brand has become my priority, and my closet has gone from being filled with clothing from big box and mall stores to treasures that have a past. It feels good to know that I am keeping these items out of landfills while using them to develop my own unique style. Original art and American-made goods are some of my favorite items to buy and share. Supporting local artisans by purchasing their work and letting them know that their talents are appreciated helps everyone.
We Were Named a Voyage Magazine Trailblazer!

Thank A Veteran
Happy Veterans Day! It’s important that we take some time today and remember what this day is all about -thanking those men and women that have sacrificed so much for all of us. There are so many advantages that we take for granted, and we shouldn’t.
All of us at The Lifestylist Brands would like to thank those veterans that have done so much for all of us - we appreciate your service.
The Thieves Among Us
Being a writer, photographer, artist, designer, Lifestylist or chef is an incredible amount of work. Our jobs are to make everything look seamless and beautiful - anyone could do it, right? As part of that, it has become very easy for others who don’t have the time, resources, and talent to take the work that we share and use it to make a profit for themselves.
We Have a New Look!
It literally took us years, but we finally have a new look and logo for The Lifestylist Brands! We have spent thousands of dollars over the years trying to create a logo that would be as unique as our company, and when someone mentioned looking at Etsy to be honest I thought they were crazy! Turns out I was the crazy one - I found lots of creative, fresh talent there that I have hired not only to do my logo but also to do watermarks and templates for some of my blogs.
The Lifestylist List
It wasn't easy, but we have finally chosen our Lifestylist List: the top 10 products for 2015. It was a great year of innovative, exciting products and we can't wait to get to the International Builders Show to see what's new for 2016!
CandysDirt.com
Even though our plate is full right now with really exciting projects and clients when one of the top real estate blogs in the country asks if you would consider writing from them how can you say no? CandysDirt.com has always been my go-to resource to find out what's going on in the Dallas Real Estate market, and now I will be part of the team!
NorthPark 50: Saving the Best for Last
Such an exciting day! Shared Housing Center - a wonderful non-profit that I am the president of was honored to be part of their NorthPark 50. NorthPark Center chose 50 nonprofit organizations to be part of their 50-year anniversary celebration, and the opportunity to be part of this very select group has given us the opportunity to share our story with people who might not have been aware of what we accomplished.
The Lifestylist® Brands
The Lifestylist philosophy is about "Life Celebrating Style". Our client’s life and style are what dictate how a Lifestylist® works with you. My favorite example is I had a client in Phoenix, Arizona that was a major Phoenix Suns fan, and their team colors are orange and purple. The client wanted their entire home done in these colors. What they wanted is what they got, complete with a child’s room with a hardwood floor striped like a basketball court. They wanted to stylishly celebrate their interests and love of their home team and we did!
The American Sniper
I had heard about the tragic slaying of American Sniper Chris Kyle and Chris Littlefield, but didn't know that the funeral procession would be happening that morning. It was raining on and off, but that didn't stop soldiers from standing for hours by the road waiting to pay their respects. Temple is near Ft Hood, and there were wives and children of military personnel lined up to pay their respects as well as people who just thought it was the right thing to do. Listening to conversations between people, and hearing why they were there was very emotional.
Wine Wednesday: Element 2014 Cabernet Franc
It is true: Life is too short to drink bad wine. With the insanity that is going on these days, I’ve decided to stop hoarding my wine collection and start enjoying them. I can’t think of a better bottle to start with than this 2014 Cabernet Franc from Element Winery.
Beko Aims to Build a Healthier World One Kitchen At A Time
Health and wellness are a huge focus everywhere you look or read in 2022. There are more extremes in the weather, food costs are jumping, and living through a pandemic has made a lot of us re-evaluate our lifestyle.
The Eco-Lifestylist
Lifestylist is a term that I trademarked over 20 years ago, and I own many domains that include my trademarked term. I have owned the domain Eco-Lifestylist for years, and I haven’t done much with it. Trying to live a sustainable lifestyle has always been important, but now it is becoming critical.
