Competing at the State Fair of Texas
It’s been awhile since we entered the cooking contests at the State Fair of Texas, but working with Signature Kitchen Suite has gotten me excited about baking again. I was in town during the cookie contests, so I decided to give it a try.

Even though I thought I’d get there early, traffic was impossible and I almost missed checking in, but the wonderful staff let me get my five entries entered and I was part of one of the largest field of entries that they have ever had for this division - there were a heck of a lot of cookies!

No ribbons this time, but I love sharing what I make with others, and my clients and fair friends were thrilled that I had so many left over.

Doing this made me realize I need to take the time and cook more. I enjoy it, and I know that I eat much healthier when I make what I eat myself.
