Color In The Kitchen
You can tell that consumers are much more enthusiastic about the economy and are interested in spending more than ever on their homes - especially the kitchen and bath areas.
At the recent Kitchen and Bath Show and the International Builders Show the sky seemed to be the limit for what people were interested in purchasing and how much they were willing to pay.
The technology that manufacturers shared was spectacular, and what was really suprising was all of the new color choices for appliances. People have been aksing for choices besides stainless, and now that's possible. Dacor showed a range that was done in Marsala - the Pantone color of the year. They also introduced the DacorMatch System which made it possible to order your new appliances in almost any color you could dream of.
La Cornue showed a range that I am lusting over - in Hermes Orange. a true statement that would entice anyone to spend more time in the kitchen. Electrolux had some of their European offering shown in cobalt blue, and Viking had some striking ranges in blue, red, and a matte black.
